Xuan HUANG
De nationalité chinoise, Xuan HUANG est mezzo-soprano lyrique. En 1996, elle  rejoint le Conservatoire de Musique de Shanghai, où elle étudie sous la direction du Professeur Zhang Renqing et obtient avec brio un Baccalauréat suivi d’une Maîtrise en musique vocale. Après l’obtention de son diplôme, Xuan Huang devient professeur de chant au Conservatoire de Musique de Shanghai.
En 2000, elle a remporté le second prix lors de la Cinquième Compétition Internationale de Chant de Budapest, pour son interprétation de Stephano dans  « Roméo et Juliette » de Gounod.
Xuan Huang s’est déjà produite en maintes occasion, tant dans son pays natal qu’à l’étranger. A l’occasion du Festival d’Opéra d’Isny en été 2000, elle participe à une adaptation des « Contes d’Hoffmann » d’Offenbach à Isny et Munich. L’année suivante, elle se perfectionne auprès de l’Institut International d’Art Vocal de Chiari en Italie et endosse le rôle de Zerlina lors des représentations du « Don Giovanni » de Mozart en juin et juillet de la même année. Entre 2000 et 2002, elle fréquente l’ Institut International de Maîtrise en Opéra de Shanghai et se produit lors de divers concerts de Gala. En juin 2002, elle se produit en tant que soliste au Grand Théâtre de Shanghai dans une interprétation de la Symphonie n°3 de Gustave Mahler, accompagnée une nouvelle fois par le Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra de Shanghai. En octobre de la même année, elle se produit en concert à Shanghai. Deux mois plus tard, elle est est élue jeune espoir chinois à Pékin par l’Australian Opera Studio. L’année suivante, Xuan Huang vient en Belgique et participe au Concours Musical International Reine Elizabeth 2004 à Bruxelles.
En 2005, l’artiste remporte la bourse allouée par le gouvernement italien et depuis septembre 2006 elle se perfectionne auprès du Conservatoire Giuseppe Verdi de Milan. En 2007, elle obtient le prix spécial du jury au 4° concours de chant d’opéra « Princesse Christina Trivulzio di Belgioioso » à Milan. Elle gagne le second prix de chant d’opéra au 5° Concours international d’Interprétation musicale « Premio citta di Padova » à Padoue et obtient le diplôme du mérite au Concours « Giuletta Simonietta » à Asti.
Depuis 2008, Xuan Huang est professeur de chant au conservatoire de Shanghai et donne de nombreux récitals en Chine.

Huang Xuan, mezzosoprano, born in Wuhan, received in Shanghai Conservatory of Music her bachelor and master degree of Bel Canto with top scores under the guidance of Prof. Zhang Renqing. In 2006, thanks to the “schoolarship of italian government”, she went, as a visiting scholar, to the Music Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” of Milan and was tutored by Prof. Giovanna Canetti. She’s also attended many masterclasses hosted by international renowned directors, coaches and singers, including Joan Dornemann, Grace Bumbry, Mignon Dunn, Denise massé, William Woodruff, and Marco Boemi. Now she is a teacher in the Vocal department, Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

At the age of 23 she won the second prize as “Stephano” (Roméo et Juliette) at the 5th International Singing Competition in Budapest. During her stay in Italy she got the diploma di merito in the 13th International Opera singer Competition of “Giulietta Simionato” and won the special prize at the 4th Opera Singing Competition of “Princepessa Cristina Trivulzio di Belgioioso” in Milan. She has performed in the operas such as Les contes d’Hoffmann, Don Giovanni, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Le Nozze di Figaro in Germany, Italy and in Shanghai. She has also performed the solo part in Mahler’s No.3 Symphony with Shanghai Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra in Shanghai Grand Theatre.

She has successfully given many recitals in Brussels, Milan and Shanghai, and her concert repertoire covers many spectrums, including Lieder of F.Schubert, R.Schumann, G.Mahler, R.Wagner, such as song cicles ‘Dichterliebe’, ‘Frauenliebe und Leben’, ‘Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen’ , ‘Wesendonck lieder’, ect; Musica da Camera of G.Rossini, G.Donizetti, V.Bellini, G.Verdi, F.P.Tosti; Melodies of G.Fauré, H.Duparc, ect; as well as many Chinese Art Songs.
