Celebrating the 70th birthday of Hilary Davan Wetton, the choir’s Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of 25 years, the CLC joins the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and massed choirs for a gala performance of Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 19th March 2014. The role of Gerontius is sung by Andrew Staples (“surely the most gifted and promising English tenor for at least a generation” Spectator).
