Hyeonjin Jane CHO, violin




Jane (Hyeonjin) Cho, born in 1997 in Seoul, has begun playing the violin at the age of 6 and has won prizes in a number of competitions in Korea. In 2006, she took up a place at the Yehudi Menuhin School in England where she studied with Professor Liutsia Ibragimova. She has since performed in number of festivals and solo recitals such as the Shipley Festival and the Thaxted Festival in England. In 2012, Jane took up a place in the University of Music Performing Arts in Graz with Professor Boris Kuschnir. In Korea, Jane has performed numerous repertoires such as the Bruch concerto, Mendelssohn concerto, Carmen Fantasy, Vivaldi four seasons with orchestras and has recently performed in concerts with the Salzburger Orchester Solisten. She has also been chosen to be one of the most promising musicians by the Kumho Asiana group in Korea in 2011. In 2015, Jane was invited by Augustin Dumay to partake in his masterclass in Paris at the Louis Vuitton Fondation and gained a place at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the guidance of Augustin Dumay in 2015. Since then she has participated in projects with professors such as Gary Hoffman and Miguel da Silva and has been invited by the Kronberg Academy ‘Chamber Music Connects the World’ in 2016 to play with Gidon Kremer and Christian Tetlaff. She plays a Patigny bow.



Jane (Hyenonjin) Cho, est née en 1997 à Séoul, et commence à jouer du violon à l’âge de 6 ans. Elle remporte de nombreux prix lors de concours en Corée. En 2006, Elle poursuit ensuite ses études à la Yehudi Menuhin School en Grande Bretagne, avec le Professeur Liutsia Ibragimova. Elle se produit en recital dans de nombreux festivals, notamment le Shipley Festival et le Thaxted Festival au Royaume Uni. En 2012, Jane est acceptée à l’University of Music Performing Arts à Graz avec le Professeur Boris Kuschnir. En Corée Jane a interprété plusieurs repertoires tels que le concerto de Bruch, le concerto de Mendelssohn, le Carmen Fantasy, avec le Salzburger Orchester Solisten. Elle a également été choisie pour représenter un des musiciens les plus prometteurs du Kumho Asiana group en Corée en 2011. Jane est invitée par Augustin Dumay à participer à sa Master class à la Fondation Louis Vuiton à Paris. En 2015, elle est acceptée à la Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth et étudie sous la direction d’Augustin Dumay. Depuis, elle a participé à de nombreux projets aux côtés, notamment, des professeurs Gary Hoffman et Miguel da Silva et a été invitée par la Kronberg Academy à participer à “Chamber Music Connects the World” en 2016, pour jouer aux côtés de Gidon Kremer et Christian Tetlaff. Elle joue avec un archet Patigny.
