Adam KRZESZOWIEC est né  à Katowice, Pologne,  en 1987.

Il est diplômé avec distinction de l'Académie de Musique Karol Szymanowski  en 2011, dans la classe du Prof. Paweł Glombik. Il a également étudié à la Hochschule für Musik und Tanz à Cologne, Allemagne,  dans la classe du Prof. Frans Helmerson et à Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth à Bruxelles, sous la tutelle de Gary Hoffman. 

Il a participé à de nombreuses master classes, où il a affiné ses compétences en coopération avec des violoncellistes de renommée mondiale, tels que Heinrich Schiff, Miklós Perényi, Gustav Rivinius, David Geringas et Pieter Wispelwey.

Adam a été lauréat de compétitions internationales de violoncelle à Londres, Paris, Hradec, Varsovie, Katowice et Dabrowa Górnicza.

Il a également joué en tant que soliste et musicien de chambre dans les plus grandes salles de concert en Europe, comme le Wigmore Hall de Londres, le Victoria Hall à Genève, la Salle Gaveau à Paris et le Piotr Tchaïkovski Concert Hall à Moscou.

Il a collaboré avec des artistes de renommée mondiale, tels que, entre autres, Maria João Pires, Augustin Dumay, Gary Hoffman, Mischa Maisky, Christian Arming et Michel Tabachnik, ainsi qu'avec des orchestres célèbres, tels que NOSPR (Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra), Sinfonia Varsovia, Brussels Philharmonic, l'Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Orchestre Philharmonique de Kansai, l’Orchestre de chambre "Arcata" de Stuttgart, l'Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra, L’Orchestre de chambre de Bratislava et Leopolis Chamber Orchestra.

Il a participé à de prestigieux festivals de musique à Verbier, Sommets Musicaux au Festival de Gstaad, International Music Academy-Switzerland à Rolle, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Festival Casals à Prades, Festival Podium et Festival Ensemble à Książ.

Depuis 2010, il a joué en duo avec le pianiste Anna Krzeszowiec, avec qui il a remporté le Grand Prix du 11e Concours International de Musique "Premio Citta di de Padova" à Padoue (Italie), ainsi que le premier prix de l' International Music Compétition de Malte en 2014.

En outre, il est membre du Polish Cello Quartet depuis 2011, avec lequel il se produit régulièrement en concerts et organise annuellement  l'Académie Internationale de Violoncelle à Nysa.

Depuis 2012, il a été  Premier violon du groupe de violoncelle de la Radio Polonaise National Symphony Orchestra à Katowice et chargé de cours au Département des Cordes à l'Académie demusique Karol Szymanowski  de Katowice.

Il a été l'initiateur et l'organisateur du Festival international de violoncelle qui se déroule régulièrement à son Alma Mater.

Il a reçu des bourses du Ministère de la Culture, de la Mairie de la ville de Katowice, du Maréchal de la Voïvodie de Silésie, ainsi qu'une bourse dans le cadre du programme "Młoda Polska" du Centre National de la Culture.  Un prix lui a  également été décerné par la Fondation Yamaha.

Adam KRZESZOWIEC

Born in Katowice, Poland in 1987.

Adam KRZESZOWIEC  graduated with honours from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in 2011,under the tutelage
of Prof. Paweł Głombik. He also studied at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln under the guidance of Prof. Frans Helmerson and in Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in  Brussels, under Gary Hoffman.

He has participated in many master classes, where he refined his skills in cooperation with world renowned cellists, such as Heinrich Schiff, Miklós Perényi, Gustav Rivinius, David Geringas and Pieter Wispelwey.

He has been a laureate of international cello com- petitions in London, Paris, Hradec, Warsaw, Katowice and Dąbrowa Górnicza.

He has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician in the greatest concert halls in Europe, such as the Wigmore Hall in London, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Salle Gaveau in Paris or Piotr Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.

He has cooperated with artists of world renown, such as, among others, Maria João Pires, Augustin Dumay, Gary Hoffman, Mischa Maisky, Christian Arming and Michel Tabachnik, as well as with world famous orchestras, such as NOSPR (Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra), Sinfonia Varsovia, Brussels Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonic Royal de Liège, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, “Arcata” Stuttgart Kammerorchester, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra, Bratislava Chamber Orchestra and Leopolis Chamber Orchestra.

He has participated in prestigious music festivals in Verbier, Sommets Musicaux Festival in Gstaad, International Music Academy-Switzerland in Rolle, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Casals Festival in Prades, PODIUM Festival and Ensemble Festival in Książ.

Since 2010, he has played in a duo with the pianist Anna Krzeszowiec, with whom he won the Grand Prix at the 11th International Music Competition “Premio Citta di Padova” in Padua (Italy), as well as the first prize at Malta International Music Competition in 2014.

Furthermore, he has been a member of the Polish Cello Quartet since 2011, with whom he regularly performs in concerts and yearly organizes the International Cello Academy in Nysa.

Since 2012, he has been the concertmaster of the cello group of the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and a lecturer at the Strings Department at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.

He was the initiator and organiser of the International Cello Festival taking place regularly at his Alma Mater.

He has received scholarships of the Minister of Culture, the Mayor of the City of Katowice, the Marshall of the Silesian Voivodeship, as well as one within the ”Młoda Polska” programme of the National Centre for Culture.


He has also been awarded by the Yamaha Foundation.
